South West LAC: how to get involved
The South West Local Area Committee is a chance for you to influence decision making, share your opinion and contribute to positive changes in your community.
Public meetings
We have public meetings that we would like you to come to so you can hear about what is happening in the South West.
At the South West LAC public meeting in November last year, we held a Q&A style session around the local environment.
To deliver the session, we were joined by:
- Waste Management
- Parks and Countryside
- Sheffield Litter Pickers
- Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust
Volunteering
There are multiple ways you can volunteer in your area.
'Friends of' groups
'Friends of' groups support green spaces and parks in the area.
Litter picking groups
Litter picking groups keep your area clean. You can find your nearest litter picking group or access information on how to organise your own community litter pick through Facebook or sheffield.gov.uk.
South West LAC Community Speed Watch
The South West LAC Community Speed Watch help deter speeding in the area.
