Attractions

The south of Sheffield is truly a multifaceted, thriving area with many different sides to discover. It has attracted 79,910 people who have called it home. It connects beautiful open green spaces, urban parks and woodlands, along with the River Sheaf flowing through.

We’re home to many makers, independents, diverse community projects, faiths, businesses and restaurants. We know before anything else it’s the people, care and community spirit that’s at the core of South of Sheffield.

Funding and support in South LAC

LACs give you the opportunity to share your concerns and voice your opinions about your local area. By getting involved, you can help make changes and improvements in your community.

The South LAC has a budget of £100,000 to develop and deliver the priorities outlined by the community during recent consultations.

Ward pots

Ward pots aim to support stronger, more successful communities by providing grants to local voluntary, community, and self-help groups and projects. If your organisation can contribute to your local area, you may be eligible for funding.

Community Infrastructure Levy

Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) grants are available to undertake specific ward projects that align with the priorities of individual wards.
