South East LAC: how to get involved

The South East Local Area Committee is a chance for you to influence decision making, share your opinion and contribute to positive changes in your community.

Public meetings

You can come along to our public meetings to hear about what is happening in the South East.

They give weekly updates on local events and what’s been going on.

We’ll advertise our public meetings on Facebook, Eventbrite and through a govDelivery bulletin.

Volunteering

Keep an eye out for volunteering opportunities and surveys on Have Your Say.

'Friends of' groups

'Friends of' groups support green spaces and parks in the area.

Litter picking groups

Litter picking groups keep your area clean. You can find your nearest litter picking group or access information on how to organise your own community litter pick through Facebook or sheffield.gov.uk.

If you like gardening or want to support your local environment, you can join the South East Environmental and Development Support Group, which is a hub of our services and volunteer groups who help to maintain our local area. Get in touch with us to find out more.
