Winter Warm and Health events

North LAC was approached by Ecclesfield Parish Council to help them distribute their winter warm packs to the local community.

Partners including LEAP/ Warm Sheffield, SOAR Dementia Awareness, NHS Blood pressure, heart health and diabetes team were involved in the events at High Green Development Trust and Grenoside St Marks Church Community Hall. Local councillors also attended the event and at High Green there was a benefits advisor from MP Marie Tidball's team.

Over 90 local people attended both events, 50 winter warm packs were given out and 53 people given advice/ signposted to benefits support and energy support.

North LAC are also increasing dialogue with Sheffield City Council Youth Services and other providers to offer additional support and engagement to young adults and teenagers in the Ecclesfield area.

There is now a regular dialogue between community development workers in the area, from the parish Council, SOAR and High Green development trust in order that we can share our resources and maximise local delivery via joined up planning.
