Community unloved pockets of land

The North East LAC is improving pockets of unkempt land and transforming them into well-maintained gardens that all community members can access. The young people involved in our Environmental Stewardship Project will clear the land with the support of Amey supervisors. The North East LAC will fund the work, and community members will volunteer to maintain the land to ensure it remains an enjoyable community garden.

Current project

We’re currently working on an unloved pocket of land located at the end of Lytton Street, near Buchanan Road. The site has now been cleared by the environmental stewards and an accessible path has been laid.

The North East LAC is looking forward to transforming this space into a lovely community garden with planters, wildflowers and fruit trees.

You can complete our short survey to tell us what you think about this project: Lytton Street Community Garden Survey.

If you're interested in helping to maintain this community space, please leave your email address at the end of the survey or get in touch with us.
